When you go to Railay. Must visit The lagoon.
View point and Lagoon are on the same way. It’s located between Railay Eastside beach to the Phanang beach. You will see the sight say view point on the left on the way. Then climb up about 400 masters. The way is hill, have ropes, rocks and tree roots to help you. Then you will see the sign saying on the left 100 meters to the view point and right 200 meters to the Lagoon.
I recommend going to the view point first because it’s very normal walk. The view is incredible you can see whole of Railay Eastside beach. Then you walk pass, there is another way to go back to the sight, turning left go down to lagoon.
The way to the lagoon is both difficult and easy pass. You have to climb down about 3 spots. One is normal down the hill and another two are the rock. There are ropes to help and since the road has been walked by many people, the rocks are carved for your feet to step on.
The lagoon is very huge, but is muddy water as I think is because of the rainy season or the sea water didn’t rise up at that time. We are not sure about that. When you arrive to the lagoon on the left is the mud way. There are small doll statues made from mud; surely the people who visited made it for memories.
As it was too muddy, we chose another way on the right pass through the small rock then you can walk to another side of the lagoon. There is a cave but we didn’t try it. Let me know if you have been inside!
We walked back on the same way up to the sight and walked down to the road.
